Who Needed It Most
The problem was simple. Between the two of us, we have over 30 years of construction experience in the Arizona desert. The gear never kept up.
The Problem
Canal lining through the Glamis sand dunes. Light rail through Phoenix and Los Angeles. Mine sites in the California mountains. Hundreds of millions of dollars in contracts. Crews working in triple-digit heat. We've been in those environments for decades.

The projects we managed left no room for gear that didn't perform. Neither did the people working them. We needed sunglasses built for actual desert conditions — not designed around a marketing brief.

The Founders
Preconstruction Project Manager with decades of field experience across the Southwest. Not his first product company — Anthony founded Anseris and developed Torch, the world's first battery-operated heated coat system, from concept through a crowdfunding campaign. The same process drives DSRT: work directly with engineers, manufacturers, and real users until the product is right.
Preconstruction Project Manager and entrepreneur. Built a real estate business from the ground up into one of the top operations in the Phoenix Valley — proof that he doesn't just manage large-scale projects, he builds things that last. The same instinct to identify a gap and fill it with something built to a higher standard is exactly what DSRT Standard is.
How DSRT Started
We Built the Solution Ourselves.
DSRT Standard started with one question: what does a pair of sunglasses look like if you actually engineer it for the desert? Not for the beach. Not for the ski slope. For the guy working a jobsite in Tempe in August.
For the athlete training under relentless Arizona sun. For the tradesperson who needs ANSI Z87+ impact protection without wearing something that came out of a safety cabinet. That question became the standard every DSRT product is built to.
